Michiel Boshoff bags Final Tournament of the 2023 Season at Irene, while Jason Ivins takes Championship

The Final event of the Season took place at Irene County Club on Thursday the 16th November.

Michiel Boshoff used his home course advantage to win his 1st Duckhook League Title carding -2 (38 points) beating out 2nd place Barend Knoetze by 2 points who finished on an even par 36 points carding an impressive 75. Ian Holtzhausen and Nico Roets completed the Top 3 on +1 (35 points).

Jason Ivins came into the final event with a 8 points lead and struggled to hang on and Barend Knoetze applied the pressure and clawed back 7 points to almost catch Jason. At the end of 18 holes Jason took the 2023 Thursday Series Title by 1 points to complete the Season on 338 individual stableford points at and average of 33.80.

It is Jason’s first Series Win and earns himself a year supple of Srixon Golf Balls.

The 2023 Season will feature 11 Events at Golf Courses in and around Gauteng including 4 qualifying Majors. With the rain effected round the scores will now be 9 out of 10 scores will count towards the final Individual Stableford points Total giving players the leeway to have their lowest score fall away or miss an event.

The Series Champion will win a year supply of Srixon Golf Balls of their choice.
