The 3rd Thursday League Round of the 2020 Season moves to the East of Johannesburg to Ebotse Golf Estate on Thursday the 18th of March 2020! The inland Links will for the first time ever feature for a League Event to add to the Duckhook Open, the 2nd Major of the Season.
The Duckhook clang gathered to take on the unique Inland Links surrounded by the Rynfield Dam offering up its pot bunkers, thick rough and somewhat uneven fairways including seven holes featuring water. The day belonged to Lyle Langley taking the Victory by 4 Shots, finishing on -4 (40 points) playing off his 8 handicap. A round that feature 3 Birdies, his 1st coming on the Par 4 – 3rd and immediately again on the Stoke 1, Par 4 – 4th. Lyle’s finally birdie was carded on the intimating Par 5 – 12th while added 8 Pars to finish on 75.
After 3 Rounds Mark Borrajeiro continues to hold on to the number 1 spot but now shares it with Lyle Langley both moving to 109 I.S points at and average of 36,33. Ewald van Wyk takes up 2nd place on 108 points, Blue Valley winner Ettiene Pienaar a further point back on 107 in 4th position.
The Gauteng Tour Calendar features 11 League events from January to November with each event being played at a different golf course in and around Gauteng. The League format is Individual Stableford, the player with the most points at the end of the season will win a Weekend Away at Nkonyeni Golf Estate!
