2024 DUCKHOOK PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP at Pecanwood Golf Estate
 
A field of 44 players took part in the 3rd Major of the Season at Pecanwood Golf Estate.
The qualifiers arrived to a majestic setting which Pecanwood naturally offers to go with perfect morning weather.
The field began on the 1st and 10th Tee competing in the customary Major Medal Format to see who would be the Players Champion.
The scoring soon started to take shape with 12 players under par in the 1st half of the Tournament, but it would be Frikkie Barnard setting the pace carding an excellent -5, 23 points including two Birdies on his front 9.
Frikkie continued his run taking his score to -7 with four holes to play until he stumbled on the Par 4 – 15th making a Triple Bogey to drop him back to -4 and opening the door for the chasing players.
Sudesh Gareeb and Billy Hall completed their rounds on -2 (38 points) setting the club house lead while waiting for Frikkie to play the 18th.
 
Frikkie finished the 18th remaining on -4 carding 40 points to seal an emotion Victory and 4th Major Title.
The Victory also cemented his name in the Duckhook History books becoming the 1st player to Win all 4 Majors.
Frikkie Earns himself 850 Vital Player Ranking points to put himself firmly in contention for the Player of the Season Title.
 
Congratulations to all the competitors for making it yet another memorable event on the Duckhook Tour.
 
The Final Major of the Season is the Summer Cup at @kyalamigolf , bringing the curtain down on the 2024 Season.
