Tiaan Bekker adds Bosch Hoek Victory to go Back to Back!

A hidden gem in the midlands hosted the 7th event of the Durban Duchhook Series. Bosch Hoek Golf Estate, rated number 1 in the country for 9 holes, greeted 19 players on a cold and sunny morning. 

 

Hayden Stone got off to a hot start making Birding the first hole where the greens were as smooth as glass. Hayden took the halfway lead on 19 points. Craig van Dijk played steady golf with 3 Pars on the front nine leaving him 1 shot behind Hayden. Linoshim Moodley made 5 Pars rounding up the Top 4. Diyashill Chetty taking the closest to the pin on the 7th hole hitting it 5m from the pin.

 

Trevor Stofberg playing in his first event started off strong on the back nine when he hit his 4 iron on the 11th hole Par 4 to 3m from the pin to take the closest in 2 for the day missing his eagle put with centimeters.

 

Playing in the last fourball of the day Jack Lamp made a run on the back nine making 4 Pars and 1 Birdie on the back nine to make 20 points and tied with Hayden Stone on 36 points. Tiaan Bekker played steady golf on the front nine missing with only 1 double bogey on the 3rd hole after chipping in the water from off the green. Quickly realising that the course was playing hard and the greens was rolling around 11 on the stimp, Tiaan played a links style round to run the ball up the green to not get affected with quickness off the greens. Tiaan made 6 Pars on the back nine and 5 Pars on the front nine making 39 points for the day to take his second Series win of the year.
