Royal Durban hosted the 9th event for the Durban league. With the perfect forecast of Sun and no Wind for the 20 players taking part in the Event at Royal Durban, a course that is held inside Greyville racetrack.
The Tournament start with Nick Schilz making his first Hole-in-One on the short Par 3 2nd hole. The 1st on the Durban Series and the 11th overall Duckhook Hole-in-One.
Hayden Stone took the lead at halfway with a his score on -2 (20 points) with Marius on his heels with 19 points. Marius started the back nine with 3x three pointers in a row and made a birdie on the short Par 5 after hitting the green in 2 to move him into the lead on -6. Randal Chetty tried catching Marius making 3 birdies and 3 pars on the back nine to come up short on -3.
A total of 18 birdies were made on the day as the course was in great condition.
Marius took the win making it his 4th title this year.
Royal Durban was the the 2nd of 4 Qualifying rounds for the Players Champs on the 28th November, the Final Major of the Season.
